Black Canyon / Willow Beach
COLD WATER
Colorado River Adventure Swim (BCWBCWCRAS)
SUNDAY June 28, 10 am

Where: Willow Beach Marina (22 miles south of Hoover Dam)
What:  Black Canyon COLD WATER Adventure Swim
Why there? Because we can (and it's beautiful)
Why on Sunday? No boat traffic!
How long?: Will be determined by group. Roughly, 35-40 min up, 20 min back to Willow Beach.

Wetsuits: Yes, water is 55º year round.

Booties, silicone earplugs, gloves, fins, tubes, floaties all OK. It's not a race. If you're slower, bring your own kayaker. We will have only 2 designated boats for this swim.

Have a friend who wants to paddle but you don't have a boat? Rentals are inexpensive at the marina:

Hazards: Hypothermia!

Bring warm clothes to change into after the swim.
In contrast, the above water temps will be HOT, bring plenty of sunscreen.

Donation Request:
$20 if you don't have a paddler
$10.00 if you bring a paddler/volunteer
$5 if you bring 2 paddlers/volunteers with their own boats!


Other fees:
$30 per whine about cold water after the first 3 minutes
$50 per complaint about cold water.
(Yes, it will be cold, it's in the title of this swim :)
